Steven Cohen, DMD

Dr. Cohen grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and attended Westfield High School in Westfield, New Jersey. From there, Dr. Cohen received a B.A. in History from Syracuse University. He received his dental training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry now Rutgers University where he received his D.M.D.. After graduating, Dr. Cohen completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillo-Facial surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, University Hospital. 

Dr. Cohen then joined the Bayonne Dental Group in Bayonne New Jersey, where he practiced for 20 years. During his first two years of practice, Dr. Cohen received a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from the New Jersey Implant Institute. Dr. Cohen continued his education by completing the necessary prerequisites to obtain a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Cohen then went on to complete his certification to become an Invisalign preferred provider. 

Dr. Cohen prides himself on being available to his patients whether it be a simple filling or a painful emergency. He has always advocated that no one should have to deal with pain and be in discomfort. He was a member of the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry and served as President in 2022. Dr. Cohen is a father of three and has been married for the past 27 years to his wife Katie.  

Roxana Dem Peart DMD

Originally from Romania, Dr. Dem Peart graduated from dental school there in 2006 and furthered her education at Rutgers Dental School, completing her studies in 2013. Passionate about dentistry, she values forging meaningful connections with her patients beyond their oral health needs. As Dr. Steve Cohen's right hand at the office, she plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care as a dentist at our office.

Luz

Patient Coordinator

Luz has been in the dental field as patient coordinator for over 15 years. She loves to spend her time outside of the practice with her children.

Xiomy

Dental Administrator

Xiomy has been working in the dental field since 2012, taking on a dynamic role in ensuring the office runs smoothly and new patients feel welcome as a dedicated dental assistant. Always a team player, she continuously seeks innovative ways to enhance office efficiency. In her spare time, Xiomy enjoys cooking and baking with her kids, cherishing quality family moments.

Stephanie

Dental Administrator

Bringing 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Stephanie has dedicated herself to helping patients and making them feel comfortable throughout their experience at Livingston Smiles. Along with patient care, she also prioritizes the office’s efficiency throughout. Currently, Stephanie has been spending her time studying to receive her Dental Radiology License.

Since graduating from NYU College of Dentistry in 2016, Ariel has dedicated herself to dental hygiene, a passion that began in 2007. She finds joy in making patients feel comfortable, valuing each happy patient as a personal success. Outside of work, Ariel spends cherished time with her two daughters, family, and friends, often having fun with arts and crafts.

Melissa has been a hygienist for 12 years and in her spare time she loves to
hike and travel.

Yvette grew up in the Bronx and has been practicing for 28 years. She enjoys reading & watching her sons play baseball.

Sandy is our hygienist. When not working she enjoys spending time with her children at the beach & traveling.

Erin

Insurance and Credentialing Coordinator

Erin is a Registered and Certified Dental Assistant who has worked alongside Dr. Steven Cohen for the past 27 years. In that time, she has developed skills in all aspects of the dental field. She has previously worked for Invisalign as well, traveling to multiple offices in the US and Canada to do hands-on staff training. Erin is now the Insurance and Credentialing Coordinator for our company and couldn't be happier with her position. In her free time, Erin enjoys living the simple life. She is happily married and has two amazing and kind teenage boys. Erin is also a true animal lover. She has a small hobby farm that includes 3 dogs, 4 hens and 3 miniature goats.

Peter

Peter is a dental assistant with over 17 years of experience providing efficient and competent service in busy dental clinics. With his sense of humor and contagious smile, Peter strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. In his spare time, Peter loves to play the bass guitar, but most of all, he loves spending time with his family.
